Membership

The LP&R network has a membership. This section includes information on how to become a member and a list of current members.

Full member: has established themselves as a researcher, or in some other capacity such as policy development, who is committed to the critical study of parental and other leaves and demonstrates an ongoing commitment to advancing the field and supporting the activities and initiatives of the Network, through contributions to the Annual Review and attendance at annual meetings. A Full Member belongs to a ‘country team’.

Associate member: has made meaningful contributions to leave scholarship and/or policy development and has demonstrated a commitment to advancing the field and supporting the activities and initiatives of the Network, such as co-organizing annual seminars and co-authoring their respective Country Notes. An Associate Member belongs to a ‘country team’ and is typically in mid-career as a scholar or in some other capacity.  Associate membership is normally the initial status for new members of the Network, who are expected to move to Full Membership after demonstrating ongoing commitment to network activities.

Junior member: graduate students, post-doctoral students, and early career scholars who have expressed an interest in leave research and who can continue the research of more senior members in the Network. A Junior Member belongs to a ‘country team’ and typically moves to an Associate Member role after having demonstrated a commitment to leave research and active engagement in the activities of the Leave Network.

Honorary member: An Honorary Member is one who has been a longstanding and active member of the Network through contributions to the Annual Review and attendance at annual meetings, and who has made a significant contribution to the field. An Honorary Member has typically retired from their career and is no longer an active member of the Network nor a ‘country team’. Honorary Members are nominated by their ‘country team’ and/or the Network Coordinators and wish to continue to be affiliated with the Network.
